I literally feel like there is no way I could have gotten through this surgery without her type of care for the first several days. I personally hired her for five days, but I know not everyone can do that. While I initially considered just having my husband take care of me (which he was willing to do), I ultimately made the decision to hire her because I figured it would be hard to have the drains, etc., with my husband and also because I have two teenage boys.

Melodee prepared me with a list of things to get for myself and brought a ton of things herself to aid me through those critical days. Coming out of the anesthesia and for the first 48 hours, I was so nauseous that I couldn't walk more than a couple of feet before my blood pressure dropped significantly and she had to lay me down before I fell or threw up. She knew that because she was taking my blood pressure (which my husband wouldn't have known to do).

Being an emergency room nurse, she also knew it was more important to keep the catheter in a little longer than to force me to get to the bathroom to take it out while my blood pressure couldn't tolerate that walk. Beyond that, she cooked amazing and healthy food from scratch focusing on protein and things that would benefit my healing.

She brought with her a baby monitor and had it on her at all times so that if I needed anything at all while she was in another room she could hear me and be there in seconds. She was literally a God-send. I cannot say enough about how important her support was for me in those first few days. It was such a hard time to get through, I think I said out loud to her every couple of hours something like “how could anyone do this without a Melodee”?

What a terrific experience, from the moment I booked my nurse via VIP Concierge Care all the way thru my care. I say this having been involved in the medical community myself over the past 30 years.

Melodee was so professional yet so easy going I felt comfortable with her right away. Everything with her was easy, natural and comfortable. She made the most delicious healthy food, two of my favorites were lentil soup and spinach quinoa salad. also enjoyed a gentle foot massage at bed-time.
